"Timey whimey kingey"

Films: Rebirth of Mothra 3: Invasion of King Ghidorah (1998)

Alias: Cretaceous King Ghidorah

Type: Alien

Location: Forest/Mountains/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: 60 meters and 50,000 metric tons.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Even when Godzilla isn't around, the King of Terror holds sway over the kaiju world. And now he's at his most powerful and sinister. It is a power that not even the mighty Mothra Leo may be able to defeat.

History: Arriving to Earth millions of years ago, King Ghidorah fed on the local wildlife before becoming a meteor and flying off. Now, he returns in the modern day to steal children, seal them away in a dome, and feed off their despair and lifeforce. Mothra Leo tried to stop him, but he proved too powerful. Now, Leo has to go back in time to stand some chance against the evil alien's younger, less experienced self.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Leo may be able to shove Cretaceous King Ghidorah into a volcano, but one of his tails is still there, and regenerates into his modern form millions of years later. Thankfully, Leo has also been recuperating for millions of years, and turns into Armor Mothra before slicing the monster's wings apart and quite literally flying right through him with Trascending Fade. He is soon obliterated by it all.

Powers/Abilities: Ghidorah can fire gravity beams, shoot antigravity beams from his wings, use mild hypnosis, as well as reflect most attacks and create domes to entrap his prey. His Cretaceous self can fire a more fire-oriented version of the gravity beams, and regenerate from a single body part.

Weakness: Total obliteration by a being of equal or greater power.

Scariness Factor: .5-The last Ghidorahs were one thing, but this horrible beast was intent on eating exclusively children! There is no worse version of this character at all! Also, he's got an arsenal that nearly killed Leo, past and present.

Trivia: -Originally, this film's foe would have been an original kaiju that Leo would have to fight in the Edo Period of Japan. Then Rodan was considered before they settled on Ghidorah.

-This isn't the first time Ghidorah has been in a Godzilla-less scenario. He made a special appearance as a villain in the old "Zone Fighter" series, and was one of the more formidable opponents of the titular hero.

The King of Terror returns once again to take his throne!

An armoured hero vs a golden demise.

Even when retro, he could still prove his worth.
Like the franchise, well, this is it.

"Surely, this insect won't have more strength than me, right?"
